Apparently the person didn’t take 8 cookies out (that was a coincidence) of the box to make a dozen. The person, instead, rummaged his/her class cupboards at school to find cookies to present for the Volunteer Tea because he/she had “forgotten”. Yes, I’m petty for noting it. That said, that person was petty for NOT honoring his/her commitment. There IS a grocery store across the street you know. Get off your butt and go get some fresh cookies. Taking in some random left-over is skeevy (not a real word).
