The Boy

He was my orange boy
citrus colored clothes
tie-dye, painted nails
a love of airplanes, trains
Rescue Heroes, and Legos
Mom’s little critter boy

Now he’s my goth son
black and brown
mismatched socks with
worn out shoes
loving Magic, Garfield
and being his Dad’s big guy

For all his changes
he’s still full of love,
hugs, and cuddle

Different, but the same
