Apparently there’s not enough crazy in the world. We need to MANUFACTURE it. So… Wiliiam Shatner apparently is quite upset about not being invited to George Takei’s wedding. Now he’s all YouTube about it calling Takei sick and harboring a grudge that he just doesn’t understand. Poor William. He’s hurt.
Of course, it’s implied that George didn’t take too kindly to how William responded when he came out of the closet. The actual quote is: Shatner said he felt he never knew Takei when they worked together on the original TV series and later in the “Star Trek” films. He also attacked Takei’s decision to come out of the closet later in life, saying “Who cares? Be gay. Don’t be gay. That’s up to you, George.”
I think Sulu heard this as, “Get your sorry gay-a@@ back in that closet you puffy little Giesha.” Which, if you think about it, warrents not being invited.
BTW, we voted NO against Proposition 8 and hope all of our California friends will do so as well.
